Contractors are set to commence a road improvement scheme on the B109 Clandeboye Road in Bangoron Monday 20 May 2024.
The resurfacing scheme, at a cost of £655,000, will involve the asphalt resurfacing of a 550 metre stretch of the Clandeboye Road between the A2 West Circular Road junction and Avonlea Park junction.
These efforts will significantly improve the durability and surface condition of this segment of the road network, benefiting residents, businesses and commuters passing through Bangor.
The Infrastructure Minister said: "This is a substantial investment for the Bangor area which will deliver significant benefits for residents and road users. The investment demonstrates my commitment to improving our road network, which is vital for connecting our businesses and communities. This work will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of this section of the road network to the benefit of local residents and businesses. Work is expected to be substantially completed by Friday 20 September 2024. I would like to thank residents, local businesses and commuters for their patience while this essential infrastructure work is carried out."
In order to support the delivery of the scheme a series of temporary lane closures and road closures will be implemented throughout the 18-week programme.
Work is expected to be completed by 20 September 2024.
