Uisce Éireann is currently undergoing works in the Duleek area to restore the water supply to customers following a major burst.
The burst is impacting the communities of Duleek, Donore, Rathdrinagh, Roughgrange, Corballis, Carranstown, Dowenstown, Rossnaree, Garballagh, Knockisland, Knockcommon, Drumman, Lougher, Gillstown and surrounding areas.
Uisce Éireann crews are working to fix the burst pipe and the works are expected to be finished this evening. Once repairs are completed, it usually takes 2-3 hours for everyone affected by the outage to get their water back on.
Uisce Éireann's Michael Cunniffe assured customers that every effort is being made to restore water as quickly as possible. He said: "We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while the repair works are ongoing."
