The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) welcomed 242 new members during a special ceremony held at the Pepper Canister Church (St. Stephen's Church), attended by their families and friends.

Among the new members are Registered Architects, Architectural Technologists and Architectural Graduates. Additionally, RIAI welcomed 88 Student Members to the Institute.

During the ceremony, 37 members were awarded RIAI Fellowships, having been elected in October 2023. The presentation was followed by a reception held at the RIAI offices.

Speaking at the ceremony, RIAI President Sean Mahon FRIAI said: "To those of you who are receiving your membership certificates, I wish you all the best in your career which I have no doubt will be challenging to varying degrees, but hugely interesting, and stimulating. To our Fellows, each of you, in your own way, has earned the respect of your peers and become a role model in your field. You have become trusted advisors to your clients, and you are all ambassadors for this innovative, inspiring and creative profession."
