A £350,000 footway and carriageway resurfacing scheme is set to take place on the Kings Road in Belfast on Thursday, 18 July.
The project will resurface the entire length of the road from the A55 Knock Road to Gilnahirk Road, significantly improving the strength and surface quality of this section of the road network, benefiting all users traveling through the area.
To ensure the safe completion of the project, a continuous one-way closure westbound from Gilnahirk Road to Knock Road will be in effect from Thursday, July 18, until Sunday, August 18. Access for residents will be maintained.
Final resurfacing work will also be carried out over five consecutive Sundays from 18 August to 15 September 2024 which will require road closures from 8.00 am until 8.00 pm. During times of closure a diversion route will be signed using Gilnahirk Road – Lower Braniel Road – Glen Road and Ballygowan Road.
Works are expected to be completed by 15 September.
