The Housing Executive has announced that over 90 homes in Old Colin and Colinmill, Poleglass, have received new bathroom and kitchen upgrades as part of a £1 million scheme in the area.

A tenant, Catherine Brady, is delighted with her newly revamped home which also received electrical upgrades and new smoke alarms.

Expressing her contentment with the upgrades, Catherine said: "I am absolutely over the moon with the work that has been done to my home – it has given it a bright, new, modern makeover. I was told it would be fitted with a new bathroom and kitchen just two days after I moved in, which was fantastic news.

"I got to pick my own colour scheme and have decorated the rooms to my own taste, so that they are more homely. The workmen were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful. I am so pleased with the result and it has made my home so much more comfortable and pleasant."
