Uisce Éireann has announced that crews are repairing a burst in Kilglass, County Roscommon.
Every effort is being made to maintain water supply to as many customers as possible, but the burst may disrupt service for those in Toberpatrick, Corgowan, Gillstown, Ballymartin, Clooneen, Kilglass, Knockhall and nearby areas.
Uisce Éireann's, Ger Greally said: "We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our crews work to ensure that a normal water supply is returned to all of our customers as quickly as possible."
Work is expected to be completed by 4pm this afternoon, 19 August. Uisce Éireann advises customers to allow two to three hours after repairs for normal supply to resume in homes and businesses.
