Sinn Fein has called Dublin City Council to agree a plan to upgrade and improve Lissadell Maisonettes in Drimnagh.
The residents are to protest at the council’s meeting today, 04 November.
Cllr. Daithí Doolan said: "The conditions these families are living in are appalling. They are Dickensian. No-one should be forced to live in overcrowded, damp conditions with poor ventilation.
"We are demanding that Dublin City Council meet with residents and agree a plan to upgrade these homes as a matter of urgency.
"We will not be ignored. We will be bringing our protest for better housing to Monday's full City Council meeting."
