Galway City Water Supply To Return Following Repairs

Construction News Image
Water supply has been restored to the vast majority of impacted areas in Galway City following repairs, Uisce Éireann has announced.

Detection crews from the company isolated the source of a significant burst which occurred in the Docks area of the city yesterday, with works being carried out this morning to correct the issue.

This morning's repair works were set to be completed by early afternoon and supply will return to normal levels for all affected areas of the city over the course of the day.

Uisce Éireann thanked customers for their patience.

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.

However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers as the system recharges.
