Uisce Éireann and ESB Restores Water Supply And Power In South Leitrim

Following collaborative efforts by Uisce Éireann and ESB, the Carrick-on-Shannon Water Treatment Plant in South Leitrim is back up and running.

Power to the treatment plant was restored yesterday after it was impacted by Storm Darragh and now water supply has returned to customers.

Uisce Éireann's Kevin Love said: "We thank all our customers for their patience while we worked to return a supply to all following Storm Darragh."

An alternative water supply was put in place during the restoration works.
