Water production at the Ballyhooly Water Treatment Plant in County Cork has now resumed following a temporary suspension, Uisce Éireann has announced.
The suspension was in place due to a mechanical issue caused by the affects of Storm Darragh, however, water supply has now been restored for impacted customers.
Uisce Éireann's Niall O’Riordan said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding while crews worked to restore supply following Storm Darragh.
"Our priority is the provision of clean safe drinking water to communities and the safety of water services staff who work to make that happen."
