Repair works have successfully been carried out on the Templetney Water Supply in Tipperary following a burst along the network, Uisce Éireann has announced.
Alternative water supplies remained in place until today, in the form of bulk tankers, which could be accessed at Redmondstown Cottages.
Uisce Éireann's Colin Cunningham said: "We acknowledge the inconvenience caused by interruptions to the water supply and very much appreciate the community’s co-operation while our crews worked to carry out the repairs and restore supply.
"We are appealing to customers to check for leaks in the home and carry out necessary leak repairs to prevent avoidable loss of water."
He added: "We are also asking farmers to check their service pipes, drinking troughs and outbuildings asking the public for their support to help reduce overall demand by conserving water."
