Plans for the construction of 167 new social homes in Dublin have been given the go-ahead.
Elected members from Dublin City Council green-lit the proposal for the development on Stanley Street, Grangegorman Lower in Dublin 7, during the first council meeting of the year.
The site at the Dublin City Fire Brigade Maintenance Depot and Dublin City Council Mechanical Division will deliver 155 apartment units in 4-6 storey blocks, 12 duplex units, crèche and cultural/community space.
This project is in the National Social Housing Bundle 4 with the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage as the Approving Authority, Dublin City Council as Sponsoring and Lead Authority and the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) acting as the procuring authority, financial and legal advisors.
The development will be tenanted from Dublin City Council's Housing lists, in accordance with the Scheme of Letting Priorities.
