A public consultation has been launched for a new park project in County Galway.

Throughout the six-week consultation, hosted by Galway City Council and the project's Design Team consisting of LUC, MKO and Quinn Architects, contributions and feedback will be gathered from the public regarding the Renmore Neighbourhood Park Project.

The project is an exciting opportunity to reimagine and connect the numerous green spaces located throughout Renmore.

A statement released by Galway City Council said: "The project will be transformational for Renmore, Ballyloughane and Lough Atalia.

"It is envisioned that the project will create accessible, connected, public, green spaces with biodiversity-friendly planting, age and mobility-friendly pathways and spaces for play and relaxation."

Galway City Council and the Design Team will also be hosting a drop in public consultation event on Wednesday, February 12, from 1pm to 8pm at Renmore Community Centre, Renmore Avenue.

Members of the public, including local residents and business owners, are invited to attend the event to discuss the plans and ask questions, and to share feedback with the Design Team.
