Multiple Farrans Projects Vying For Bridges Awards Honours

Northern Ireland building and civil engineering contractor Farrans Construction will have two of its prestigious projects battling for top honours at this year's Bridges Awards.

The Gull Wing and Herring Bridge projects will go head to head against each other for The Bridges Design and Construction Award (Above £10 million) while Gull Wing is also shortlisted in the Bridges Ethos award category.

The awards event, which celebrate the sheer ingenuity, project management and cooperative skills of the people behind the design, construction and maintenance of pedestrian, highway and rail bridges, will take place on March 12 at Coventry Building Society Arena.
The Gull Wing Bridge professional team was made up of Farrans Construction, Arup, Suffolk County Council, Moxon Architects, BAM, Eadon, Oilgear and Victor Buyck Steel Construction, while the Herring Bridge team consisted of Roughan & O’Donovan Consulting Engineers, H&H, BAM Farrans JV, Norfolk County Council, Lanpro, WSP, KGAL, Victor Buyck and Qualter Hall & Co.
