Last Call For Survey Submissions To Transform Town Centre

A final call has been made for survey submissions towards the transformation of a County Laois town centre.

Business owners and residents of Mountmellick have until 5pm today (March 6) to undertake the Mountmellick Town Centre First (TCF) Plan draft consultation.

Mountmellick's Town Team has been working with Laois County Council's Regeneration team and expert planners to devise the pre-draft Town Centre First consultation, which will be used to capture the views of the entire town.

The TCF aims to establish a community-led vision to regenerate Mountmellick whilst tackling issues such as vacancy and dereliction and building on the assets and unique attributes of Mountmellick Town.

Once the survey results are compiled, the next steps will be the development of the Town Team Plan. Key projects will be identified in this community-led plan which will be the basis from which future funding will be applied for so that these projects can be developed. This is in line with the Government’s Town Centre First Policy for the regeneration of rural towns and villages.

The survey can be completed here.
