Sinn Féin Welcomes Planning Approval For Finglas Care Facility

The approval of planning permission for the construction of a primary care facility in Finglas has been welcomed by Sinn Féin.

The commencement of work at the site of the former Church of the Assumption would represent a 'major milestone' for local residents, according to Sinn Féin TD for Dublin North West, Dessie Ellis TD.

Deputy Ellis said: "This is a long time coming for the people of Finglas, and the residents who have for years campaigned on the need for such a facility, a campaign supported since day one by Sinn Féin.

"We have seen shocking increases in the number of people languishing on waiting lists in recent years. This is exactly why communities like ours need primary care facilities.

"A facility like this is very necessary so that the people of Finglas have access to the care that they need when they need it, and within their own community."
