Drop-In Event For Proposed Kildare Housing Development

An information event has been scheduled for a proposed mixed tenure residential housing development in Newbridge, County Kildare.

The proposed development at Rickardstown includes 136 residential units to be completed in two phases, comprising 40 affordable homes and 96 social homes. The units will range from one to four bedrooms. Additionally, the development will feature a creche, renewable energy design measures, landscaping works, pedestrian connections to the adjacent Roseberry Hill estate, and various associated site and infrastructural works.

The drop-in event, which takes place at Newbridge Town Hall on Thursday, March 27 from 4pm to 7pm, aims to provide valuable information to members of the public about the proposed development.

Attendees will have the opportunity to review current draft drawings and 3D imagery of the proposals. Technical staff from Kildare County Council's Architectural Services Department and members of the Design Team will be present to provide further information if required.

The proposal will undergo Appropriate Assessment Screening under the Habitats Directive and screening for Environmental Impact Assessment under the EIA Directive.
