Uisce Éireann customers in Drumsna are benefiting from a more secure and reliable water supply following the recent completion of important upgrade works in the village.
More than 500 metres of old concrete water mains along the village's Main Street have been replaced with modern pipes as part of Uisce Éireann’s National Leakage Reduction Programme.
The works have ensured that customers have a more reliable water supply and have also put a stop to the loss of precious treated water into the ground.
Uisce Éireann's Patricia Lowry is grateful to the community for their patience while Farrans Construction carried out the replacement works on behalf of Uisce Éireann.
She said: "This essential work is part of a significant investment by Uisce Éireann to improve the water network across the country, prioritising investment where it is needed most, enabling these communities to thrive. We would like to thank customers in Drumsna for their cooperation and patience while the works took place."
