Crews are working to restore water supply to customers in Granard, Co Longford, following a burst water main that has disrupted service across several areas.
The affected locations include Granard Town, Moat, Bunlahy, Springtown, Aughnagarron, Tonywarden, Granardkille, and surrounding areas. Residents and businesses may experience low water pressure, temporary water discolouration, or intermittent supply disruptions while repair efforts are underway.
David Gibbons, Water Operations Lead for Longford, apologised for the inconvenience, stating: "We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are. We thank impacted customers in Granard and the surrounding area for their patience while we carry out repairs and restore the water supply as quickly as possible."
Once repair works are completed, it typically takes three to four hours for normal supply to be fully restored as the network refills, though those on higher ground or at the end of the network may experience longer delays.
