Funding allocation has officially been approved for Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection for Marine Parade in Kilkee, County Clare.

Minister Kevin Moran announced funding of €88,763 for works which include underpinning the existing sea walls with reinforced concrete foundation, filling voids and repointing the wall over sections where necessary, under the Office of Public Works' Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme.

Under the scheme, applications are considered for projects that are estimated to cost not more than €750,000 in each instance. Funding of up to 90% of the cost is available for approved projects.
