Northern Ireland construction firm GRAHAM has officially broken ground on Dyecoats, a flagship regeneration scheme based in Leeds.
The commencement of building works marks a major step forward in the delivery of over 1,600 new homes which will generate up to £300 million in projected social value over the course of the project. The first phase will deliver 434 new homes—100 for social rent and 138 for shared ownership.
The project is being delivered in partnership with Latimer, the development arm of Clarion Housing Group. Senior leaders from Latimer recently joined GRAHAM and other key stakeholders to celebrate the start of works.
Discussing the project, Stephen Van den Hoek, GRAHAM Regional Director, said: “We're proud to be working alongside Latimer to bring the Dyecoats vision to life. This is a development that not only delivers high-quality, sustainable housing but also puts social value and long-term community benefit at its core. It’s a privilege to be part of a project with such far-reaching impact."
Designed to align with Future Homes Standards, the development will be net zero carbon in operation, with all homes built to an EPC rating of B or above.
The significant new green spaces, gardens and children’s play areas provide an inclusive environment, with a new food hall also set to be introduced to the development.
