Northern Ireland construction firm Farrans enjoyed a hat-trick of success this week as three of its transportation sector projects were recognised at the CIHT Awards in the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
Hosted by Professor Glenn Lyons and guest presenter Louise Minchin, the awards saw many fantastic projects rewarded for their excellence in front of an audience of 450 industry professionals.
In the CIHT Infrastructure Award category, the Farrans Sacyr JV project for client Translink, Belfast Grand Central Station, took the top place for its exceptional engineering solutions which delivered creative and resilient infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Gull Wing Bridge, which Farrans delivered for Suffolk County Council, was highly commended and the Bam Farrans JV project, Herring Bridge, for Norfolk County Council was also commended.
Belfast Grand Central went on to be highly commended in the CIHT / Brightly Software Technology and Digital Transformation Award and the CIHT Health and Safety at Work Award which recognise initiatives that improved safety practices and culture at work.
Both Belfast Grand Central Station and Herring Bridge were also commended in the CIHT AtkinsRéalis Collaboration Award.
