Plans for a proposed housing development at Fortlawn, Blanchardstown in Dublin 15 have been unveiled by Fingal County Council.
The development, spread across two sites, A and B, will see the creation of 21 residential dwellings. The proposed works on Site A comprise of the demolition of four detached, three-bedroom, two-storey houses at Fortlawn Avenue and Fortlawn Park, as well as the construction of seven terraced houses in one block comprising one four-bedroom house (one and two-storeys) and six, three-bedroom houses (two-storeys). Also included in Site A are the associated boundary treatments, private open space, hard and soft landscaping, paved driveways, and bin and bicycle storage to mid-terrace units.
Additionally, the construction of 12 apartments in one block (two-storeys) comprising six, one-bedroom apartments (three to each floor) and six, two-bedroom apartments (three to each floor), with three shared entrances, stairs and plant areas, terraces and balconies and associated boundary treatments. Included within this apartment block is a communal open space with hard and soft landscaping, communal waste bin storage, communal and visitor bicycle storage, off street parking for 12 vehicles (including two disabled bays and two EV charging bays) and two motorcycle parking bays.
Meanwhile, the proposed works on Site B comprise of the construction of two semi-detached houses, one, four-bedroom house (one and two-storeys) and one, three-bedroom house (two-storeys). Associated boundary treatments, private open space, hard and soft landscaping and paved driveways is also included in the plans.
Furthermore, the development will also include the following: Demolition of six cul-de-sacs on Fortlawn Park and Fortlawn Avenue; New roads and pedestrian footpaths to provide access to Site A and Site B, linking Fortlawn Park and Fortlawn Avenue in three locations with associated works including speed ramps, raised table pedestrian crossings, public lighting, street trees, hard and soft landscaping, improvements to existing open space creating areas of incidental play; and all associated site development, water, drainage and utility connection works, above and below ground.
