The Lucan House & Demesne Masterplan has been officially unveiled by South Dublin County Council (SDCC).
The ambitious initiative sets out a transformative vision to revitalise the historic Lucan House estate into a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable public amenity.
Following extensive community consultation, the ambitious Masterplan integrates heritage conservation, climate resilience, enhanced green infrastructure, and new cultural and recreational facilities.
Key features include: Restoration and adaptive reuse of historic buildings; Expanded walking and cycling connections linking to St Catherine's Park and the wider green network; New performance, community, and cultural spaces; Biodiverse landscapes and climate-adaptive design; Accessible amenities for all ages and abilities.
The Masterplan is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union under the ERDF Southern, Eastern and Midland Regional Programme 2021-2027.
