A significant burst affecting the water supply to consumers in Lisdoonvarna, County Clare, has now been successfully repaired, Uisce Éireann has announced.
Areas affected by the unplanned outage included Lisdoonvarna, Fanore, Ballyvaughan, Doolin and surrounding areas.
Crews from the utility company worked to correct the issue over the weekend and returned the supply to those impacted by 9pm on Saturday, July 26.
Uisce Éireann's Peter Kelly thanked affected customers for their cooperation while repairs were carried out.
"Uisce Éireann acknowledges the disruption that can be caused by an unplanned outage such as this large burst and, we worked as quickly as we could to return supply," he said.
