NIE Networks and its contracting partners will be carrying out essential construction works on the electricity network in the Saintfield area of County Down over the next 12 months.
From Monday, August 11, crews will be working continuously to upgrade the local infrastructure. The scope of work includes re-stringing overhead conductors, replacing electricity poles and upgrading associated services to strengthen the long-term reliability of the supply.
During this period, access restrictions and traffic management measures will be in place in the areas where work is ongoing. In some cases, access to properties may be required to complete the works. Where this is necessary, property owners will be contacted in advance to arrange a suitable time.
Some works may also require planned interruptions to electricity supply, which will be kept to a minimum. Advance notice will be provided for any planned outages.
For more information, an information event will be held on Thursday, August 7, at Saintfield Community Centre, 29 Belfast Road, Saintfield, BT24 7EP. The team will be available from 2pm to 6pm to answer any queries. Alternatively, contact the Customer Helpline on 03457 643643.
