South Dublin County Council (SDCC) has announced today's (August 6) closure of the Tymon Park entrance and car park at Wellington Road to facilitate ongoing building work.

To complete the works at Tymon Park Intergenerational Centre which are nearing completion, the Wellington Road entrance to Tymon Park will be closed to both pedestrian and vehicles for resurfacing of the car park.

Detailing the closure, a statement from SDCC said: "Alternative access has been arranged for pedestrians and emergency vehicles via adjacent routes; and diversionary routes will be marked on those dates.

"But please note Tymon Park car park and the direct pedestrian access through it into Tymon Park from the Wellington Road will not be available during those days. Alternative car park locations will available at the Limekiln entrance to Tymon Park and the Castletymon Road entrance to Tymon Park.

"We apologise for any inconvenience during this time. SDCC thank you for your patience during the building works."
