New Kildare-Based Affordable Housing Scheme Launches

A new affordable housing scheme has been jointly launched in Newbridge by D&P Construction Ltd and Kildare County Council.

The scheme, located at Pierce Park, includes six new homes, comprising three two-bedroom, own-door apartments and three three-bedroom, own-door duplexes. The expected delivery date for these homes is December 2025/January 2026.

Welcoming the launch of the scheme Annette Aspell, Director of Services, Kildare County Council said: "Kildare County Council is delighted to reach this important milestone, in what will be the first affordable housing purchase scheme in Newbridge, providing much needed homes that are being offered at affordable prices for potential home buyers. Kildare County Council's aim, under the affordable housing scheme is to provide vital support for home buyers."

The Affordable Housing Purchase Scheme aims to support first-time buyers, with some exceptions. Eligible applicants looking to buy a home in Kildare are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the application process and documentation, which is available online.

The application portal will open at 9am on Wednesday, August 20, and will remain open until 12pm on Thursday, September 11.
