Emergency Sewer Repairs Ongoing In Belfast

Emergency sewer repair work is currently ongoing on the Malone Road in Belfast, NI Water has announced.

Inspections of the combined foul and storm sewer have confirmed it required immediate remedial work to ensure it continues to function and serve the properties in the area. This work commenced on Monday, August 25.

Works are continuing under two-way traffic management control between the junctions of Deramore Park South and Myrtlefield Park. The Malone Road has been reduced to a single lane for the duration of the emergency works and these closures may cause delays.

Discussing the repairs, a statement from NI Water said: "NI Water would like to thank the public in advance for their patience and cooperation while this emergency work takes place and assure them that we will do everything we can to complete the work as quickly as possible. Customer queries regarding this work should be directed to Waterline on 08457 440088."
