Jada Projects Limited has signed the construction contract with Limerick City and County Council for the delivery of ten new social housing units in O'Connor Park, Ardagh.
The project is valued at €3,188,195 (excluding VAT) and comprises of four one-bedroom apartment units, four two-bedroom two storey units and two three-bedroom two storey units.
Discussing the project, Director General at Limerick City and County Council, Dr. Pat Daly stated: "This marks another positive step forward in addressing the urgent housing needs in Ardagh, West Limerick, and across the wider county. These ten new units will be built to high standards in terms of comfort and sustainability, helping to reduce energy costs for residents. Delivering housing developments throughout Limerick is key to building a more balanced and sustainable future. I’m pleased to see this initiative moving ahead."
The site, which is a greenfield location within the existing O’Connor Park housing estate, will undergo extensive site development works including new footpaths, an estate road, boundary treatments and landscaping works.
The units are expected to be completed by December 2026.
