Uisce Éireann contractor teams are currently carrying out essential upgrades to the water network in the Mount Bruis area in County Tipperary, replacing over 2km of water mains to improve reliability and reduce leakage for local homes and businesses.
To complete repair works as part of the project, a planned water outage will occur today (September 30) from 2.30pm to 6.30pm. This may affect customers in Mount Bruis, Kilross, Shronell, Lattin, Glenbane, Ballinard, Emly, and surrounding areas of County Tipperary.
Dave Murphy of Uisce Éireann said: "We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply. Every effort will be made to limit the impact of these essential works, and we would like to thank the community in advance for their patience and co-operation.
"Following the completion of the works, it can take two to three hours for normal water supply to return to customers as water refills the network, particularly for those properties on higher ground or at the end of the network."
