Shareridge, on behalf of Uisce Éireann, is set to commence essential upgrade works next week in Lusmagh, County Offaly, to replace 730 metres of ageing water mains between the crossroads at Caplevane and Lusmagh National School.
The project is part of Uisce Éireann's National Leakage Reduction Programme and aims to improve the reliability of the local water supply while reducing leakage.
The works are being carried out in short sections to minimise disruption, with a stop-go traffic system in place along the L3012. Customers will be notified at least 48 hours in advance of any planned interruptions to the supply.
Dave Murphy, Uisce Éireann's Programme Manager, said the works are prioritised to strengthen the water network in County Offaly. The project is expected to be completed later this month, delivering long-term benefits to the local community.
