South Dublin County Council's (SDCC) Work IQ Innovation Centre has been named Best Commercial Project at the Irish Planning Institute (IPI) Awards 2025.
The awards ceremony took place at Clontarf Castle, Dublin, where excellence in planning and development across Ireland was celebrated as part of the Institute's 50th anniversary.
Delivered by SDCC, the €16 million Work IQ Innovation Centre in Tallaght represents a major investment in sustainable construction and urban regeneration. The project was designed and built to the highest Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standards, supporting Ireland's Project 2040 objectives for climate action and sustainable growth.
The centre, managed by Oxford Innovation Space, provides a high-quality environment for start-ups and growing businesses, accommodating up to 60 companies and creating space for approximately 700 jobs. It forms part of a wider regeneration initiative in Tallaght, promoting economic development, community integration, and improved public transport connections.
