The Office of Public Works (OPW) has confirmed €90,000 in funding for a comprehensive flood study on Gormanstown Road, County Meath.
The project, to be undertaken by consulting engineers, will involve detailed hydrological analysis and site investigations aimed at identifying the causes of recurring flooding in the area and developing long-term mitigation measures.
This latest allocation replaces an earlier €45,000 approved in February 2025, ensuring that the study can proceed with the full scope of technical work required. The investment demonstrates the OPW's ongoing commitment to supporting local authorities and contractors in delivering effective flood protection and infrastructure resilience across Ireland.
