Chadwicks Delivers Materials For DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland

Chadwicks, Ireland's leading builders' merchant, has once again supplied essential building materials and expertise for the latest series of DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland.

The company provided timber, plywood, cement, plasterboards, insulation, doors, fittings, exterior plaster, Velux roof windows and other construction essentials to support projects across the country.

In Tallaght, Chadwicks Lucan, Heiton Steel, Proline, and The Panelling Centre supplied materials for adaptations to nine-year-old Cayden's home. The project included widening doorways, installing ramps, and creating an accessible bedroom and bathroom to improve mobility and independence.

In Mooncoin, Chadwicks Waterford and Proline provided materials to complete a stalled self-build for nine-year-old Aoibhínn, who lives with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. The team delivered a safe, fully finished home for Aoibhínn and her family.

Chadwicks Ennis supported the transformation of Franek’s home in Clarecastle, Ennis, providing materials for a downstairs bedroom and accessible bathroom to accommodate the 13-year-old's needs arising from cerebral palsy and scoliosis.

Finally, Chadwicks Bray and Proline assisted with adaptations for 17-year-old Kyle in Wicklow, who uses a wheelchair. The team supplied materials and expertise to create accessible spaces, improving independence and reducing reliance on carers.

Tara Brennan, Marketing and Development Director at Chadwicks Group, said: "Chadwicks is proud to once again play a part in DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland. Each year, this programme shines a light on the incredible strength of families facing extraordinary challenges and the power of community coming together to support them. With over 50 branches nationwide, community is at the heart of Chadwicks, and we are privileged to provide the materials, expertise and support needed to help make these life-changing builds possible."
