Northern Ireland Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins recently visited Dungannon Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW) on Moygashel Lane, County Tyrone, where NI Water contractor GEDA Construction, alongside Newry-based Water Solutions Ireland, is leading a £44 million upgrade of the facility.
The project is enhancing the existing 1970s plant, increasing its capacity by 75% to serve the equivalent of over 100,000 domestic and trade customers in the future.
The work forms part of a wider programme to strengthen the wastewater infrastructure in the Dungannon area, supporting future social and economic growth while safeguarding the environment.
Numerous other local businesses are also involved throughout the supply chain, contributing to the delivery of this significant infrastructure project.
