The Land Development Agency (LDA) has submitted a planning application for a major new housing project in Cork city centre, in partnership with Cork City Council.

The proposed Anglesea Terrace development would deliver 147 new apartments, comprising 72 one-bedroom and 75 two-bedroom homes, across a mix of cost-rental and social housing.

Building heights would range from four storeys up to 16 at the tallest point, designed to complement the nearby Elysian building on the city skyline.

Located at the junction of Old Station Road and South Link Road, the site is a short walk from Kent Station, Cork Bus Station, and key city amenities including retail and community services.

The plans also include a landscaped courtyard for residents and 242 square metres of ground-floor commercial space, which could be divided into two or three separate units.

If approved, construction could begin in 2027, with the first homes expected to be completed by 2030.
