Uisce Éireann has announced a planned water outage that may affect customers in parts of Wexford Town and surrounding areas on Sunday, 2 November.
The disruption is required to allow for essential water main repairs at the Newtown Water Treatment Plant and connection works in the area.
The outage is expected to impact customers in Carraiglawn, Hillstreet, Wygram, George's Street, Rowe Street and nearby locations between 10am and 4pm.
As part of the project, a section of ageing water main dating back to the 1950s will be replaced with modern pipework, aimed at improving the reliability and resilience of the local water supply.
Uisce Éireann’s Padraig Lyng said: "We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply. These works are taking place out-of-hours on Sunday in an effort to minimise the impact to the wider community. We would like to thank our customers in advance for their patience and co-operation."
