As COP30 opens with renewed global focus on accelerating climate action, Northern Ireland-headquartered contractor GRAHAM has highlighted the role of verified data in driving progress towards net zero.
The company has secured external verification of its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for a fifth consecutive year through the Achilles Carbon Reduce Scheme, assessed in line with the international standard ISO 14064-1:2018.
GRAHAM said the milestone underscores the reliability of its carbon reporting and reflects ongoing progress to decarbonise its operations.
According to the firm, independently verified data now sits at the centre of its sustainability strategy, providing a trusted baseline to measure reductions, inform decision-making and support long-term emissions planning.
The company pointed to three core benefits of rigorous emissions reporting: enabling confident and accountable action, supporting innovation through transparency, and ensuring sustainability efforts remain both effective and measurable.
With global leaders convening for COP30 to strengthen climate commitments, GRAHAM said credible carbon data will be fundamental to delivering meaningful, long-term progress toward net zero in the construction and infrastructure sector.
