Sisk Infrastructure has secured a place on the £1bn YORcivil Major Works 2 framework, covering major infrastructure projects across Yorkshire and the Humber.
The single-lot arrangement is for civil engineering contracts valued at over £10m, including highways, bridges, flood defences, coastal works and major drainage schemes. It replaces the current YORcivil Major Works agreement, which expires in December 2025, and operates alongside the YORcivil3 framework for smaller projects up to £10m.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Sheffield City Council will jointly manage the new framework, which is intended to maintain a strong pipeline of work through local supply chains.
Alan Rodger, Managing Director, Sisk Infrastructure, said: "We are delighted to confirm that we have won a place on the YORcivil Majors Works 2 framework and continue our relationship. This builds upon our presence in Yorkshire following on from the re-alignment of the A59 at Kex Gill, Leeds Public Transport Investment Programme (LPTIP) City Centre Gateways, Fargate in Sheffield city centre and ongoing major infrastructure work at York Central. We look forward to working with YORcivil and our long-term local supply chain partners going forward."
