2km Of Old Water Mains Replaced In Clogga

Uisce Éireann has completed a key watermain replacement in Clogga, laying more than 2km of new, high‑quality pipes between Clogga Cross and Tubrid Reservoir.

The upgrade will improve water quality, cut leakage and provide a more dependable supply for homes and businesses.

Portfolio Manager at Uisce Éireann, Dave Murphy, said: "We're delighted to complete this important upgrade in Clogga. This section of the watermain had experienced frequent bursts over the years, making its replacement a priority. By replacing over 2km of old watermains, we have improved the reliability and quality of the water supply, reduced leakage, and strengthened the network for future generations. We appreciate the patience and support of the local community as we carried out these essential works."

The scheme was delivered by Shareridge on behalf of Uisce Éireann.

The project forms part of Uisce Éireann's national Leakage Reduction Programme, which is delivering significant benefits for communities across Ireland, including improved water quality, a more resilient and sustainable supply for customers, and substantial water savings.
