Jacobs Secures Engineers Ireland's CPD Accredited Employer Standard

Jacobs has been awarded Engineers Ireland's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Accredited Employer Standard.

Employing around 1,300 experts across Dublin, Cork and Belfast, the company is the island of Ireland's largest provider of engineering, procurement, construction management and commissioning services.

The CPD Accredited Employer Standard supports organisations to enhance the competence of their engineering professionals, developing agile and adaptable employees and fostering a culture that encourages innovation and new solutions. Organisations that attain the standard may be better equipped to manage change and disruption, as well as attract and retain talent.

A long-standing contributor to national economic development, Jacobs opened its first international office in Dublin in 1974 and has since supported the delivery of more than €50 billion in critical infrastructure. Its Irish portfolio includes BusConnects Cork and Dublin, EirGrid's electricity transmission transformation programme, and major life sciences developments across Munster and Leinster. The firm has also completed EPCM for the first phase of a major new biotech campus in Munster, with the second phase now in progress.

Since establishing our presence here more than 50 years ago, our success has been driven by the talent, curiosity and commitment of our people. This accreditation reinforces our long-standing focus on continuous learning and professional development. As we grow, we remain ambitious for the future – investing in our teams, expanding our capabilities and ensuring we have the skills needed to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions for our clients and for Ireland's evolving economy."

Damien Owens, Director General of Engineers Ireland, added: "By fostering leadership, innovation and a continuous learning environment, Jacobs has enabled its people to realise their full potential. It now joins over 170 organisations that have now been awarded the Engineers Ireland CPD Accredited Employer Standard."
