Designer Group has significantly enhanced its Modular Manufacturing operations with the unveiling of a new €10 million facility located in Kells, County Meath.
The 4,000sqm purpose-built workshop is a clear reflection of the company's continuing dedication to increasing the value provided to its clients, alongside boosting efficiency and innovation.
This key investment in Co. Meath is expected to generate up to 75 job roles over the next five years, covering a diverse range of positions including logistics, fabrication, and engineering.
Having already successfully provided off-site and modular solutions for a number of years, the larger workshop allows Designer Group to substantially scale up its production capabilities. The increased capacity is crucial for ensuring a higher, more predictable quality standard and delivering greater value to clients in the Data Centre, Energy, and Pharmaceutical industries. Components produced in the Meath facility will be delivered to Designer Group project sites across Europe, the UK, and Ireland.
Paul Nicholls, Group Managing Director, commented on the strategic importance of the expansion: "As our industry continues to evolve, we are seeing a fundamental shift in how complex projects are executed – with speed, certainty, and sustainability at the forefront. Our new facility enables us to deliver high-quality, prefabricated modules off-site, driving greater efficiency, cost certainty, and reduced risk for our clients, while ensuring excellence in delivery across all sectors. Beyond its operational impact, this investment also strengthens our local footprint, supporting long-term employment in Co. Meath with the creation of 75 skilled, management and apprenticeship roles over the coming years."
