Solar PV Company Invests In New Dromore Office

Tyrone based solar PV specialist, Alternative Energy, has recently invested over £300,000 on a state-of-the-art office in Dromore (Co. Tyrone) following recent growth.

Working across Northern Ireland and ROI, the business works to deliver cost-saving solar PV systems for home, farm and business owners.

In recent months the locally owned and founded business has also grown to include a team of nine full-time members of staff.

Ronan Dolan, company director said: "Our office in Dromore marks a milestone for the company, but it's important for the local community too. Throughout construction, we've ensured that the money we've spent has stayed within the community, using local suppliers and retailers as often as possible. We've even been using the local barber! As well as helping to support other businesses and build connections within the community, this has allowed us to minimise the environmental impact of the building by limiting the travelling distance of materials used."

Co-Director, Jerome Carlin added: "We're heading into our 15th year in business, and we've grown to a point where a bigger office is required. Naturally the building is fitted with solar panels, and our aim is to have no electricity bills as a result. If there was an opportunity to enhance the environmental credentials of the building, we took it."

In recent months the business has also undergone a rebranding exercise, reinforcing its position within the industry as a recognised and trusted solar installer. With over 2,000 completed jobs including recent commercial installations for BT Openreach, Belfast Met and Waterways Ireland, the company continues to deliver electricity solutions at a time when energy prices are continuing to rise.

"With household bills higher than ever, we're keen to promote solar PV as a solution for people to take control of their energy costs" Carlin continued. "Our customers see their bills drop and their only regret is that they waited so long to install solar. System costs have been dropping in recent years, and technology has improved so we're seeing payback within record timeframes. Solar PV isn't an emerging technology anymore; it's the way forward."

Alternative Energy works across all areas of Northern Ireland and the ROI, delivering high quality solar PV systems, installed to the highest standards. Quotations are free of charge for all customers.
