EirGrid and ESB Networks have finished the full uprate of the Glenree–Moy 110 kV circuit in the north-west.
The project increases the conductor's rating and capacity, strengthening the grid’s ability to carry more power from the west and supporting the delivery of additional renewable electricity to homes and businesses nationwide.
Works were completed on schedule and timed to coincide with planned outage windows, minimising any impact on local electricity supply.
EirGrid thanked ESB and all stakeholders for their collaboration on this key project, which marks further progress towards a more secure and reliable electricity system.
