The Construction Employers Federation (CEF), which serves as the only certified representative organisation for the homebuilding and construction industries in Northern Ireland, has announced the appointment of Gail Kinkead as its new Head of Membership.
In her new capacity, Gail will be responsible for spearheading the evolution of the CEF's suite of member services. Her remit includes the recruitment of new members, fostering deeper engagement across the industry, and bolstering the overall influence of the federation.
Gail joins the organisation with a robust background in business development. She previously held senior engagement roles where she led initiatives for Environment Ireland, Energy Ireland, and agendaNi Magazine. Her professional history is defined by a proven ability to cultivate strategic relationships and deliver commercial growth, skills that will be pivotal as the CEF seeks to refine its value proposition for the sector.
Welcoming the new appointment, Mark Spence, Chief Executive of CEF, said: "We are delighted to welcome Gail to the team at a time when CEF as an organisation is significantly growing its impact and influence on behalf of the sector, and beyond. As we focus on evolving our services, increasing our membership base and further increasing our voice on behalf of the construction industry, Gail's experience across local business sectors and her strategic approach to engagement will be instrumental, not just for our existing members, but also those considering joining the 70% of our sector who are already members."
Reflecting on her new role, Gail added: "I am excited to join the CEF team and to contribute to its work supporting the construction sector at such a critical time. Construction is a dynamic industry, facing both significant challenges and opportunities, and I look forward to working closely with members and partners to identify opportunities, strengthen connections, and enhance the organisation's support for its membership in the months and years ahead."
