Forty homes in East Belfast have undergone major energy-efficiency upgrades as part of a £2.1m Housing Executive scheme delivered with contractor PK Murphy.
The programme included fitting new double glazing, replacing roof coverings and external doors, and adding external wall insulation to help keep properties warmer and cut energy costs. A further ten homes also received new kitchens, insulated ground-floor replacements and a damp proof course.
Sinéad Thompson, the Housing Executive's Assistant Area Manager for South & East Belfast, added: "Planned improvement works like these are part of our continued commitment to improving our housing stock.
"We're really pleased to hear such positive feedback from our tenants following the completion of this scheme.
"A huge thanks also to our contractor PK Murphy for their diligence during the course of these works."
