MH International Expands Irish Footprint With New Portlaoise Hub

Temporary works specialist MH International has announced a significant expansion of its Irish operations with the opening of a new dedicated depot in Portlaoise.

The move marks a major investment in the region and reflects the company's long-term commitment to the Irish construction market.

The new central hub has been established in response to sustained growth and an increasing requirement for complex, engineered solutions across civil infrastructure, residential, and commercial sectors. The Portlaoise facility will serve as a strategic base for the company's extensive portfolio, including propping, jacking, groundworks support, and temporary bridging.

To ensure high-level service delivery, the depot features a newly appointed 'on-the-ground' sales and support team. This local presence is designed to provide clients with a comprehensive end-to-end service, ranging from initial in-house design and supply to professional installation and real-time structural monitoring.

John Breen, Managing Director of MH International, stated: "This is an extremely exciting time, both for everyone at MH International and the industry. While we already have a strong presence in the Irish market, the opening of a dedicated depot marks the start of a new chapter. Led by Wayne Fisher, our International Business Development Director, we hope it is one that will enable us to elevate our service levels and forge stronger relationships with our customers, existing and new."

The establishment of the Portlaoise depot has also generated new local employment and is expected to play a vital role in supporting major national development projects over the coming years. By positioning itself in the Midlands, MH International aims to provide more efficient logistics and technical support to sites across the country.
