£450,000 Resurfacing To Begin On A32 Mossfield Road At Sidaire

Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has confirmed a £450,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme on the A32 Mossfield Road at Sidaire, between the Drumbulcan Road and Makenny Road, will start on Monday 2 February 2026.

The project will deliver full-width resurfacing along with targeted substructure patching at a number of locations to strengthen the road.

Infrastructure Minister Kimmins said: "This substantial investment of £450,000 on the A32 Mossfield Road, the trunk route linking Omagh and Enniskillen will deliver significant benefits for road users and demonstrates my commitment to improving our road network, which is vital for connecting our businesses and communities. I would like to thank residents, local businesses and commuters for their patience while this essential infrastructure work is carried out."

To enable the works to proceed safely, a daily road closure will be in place on Mossfield Road from the B46 Ballinamallard Road to the C413 Makenny Road between 9.30am and 4.30pm for two weeks. During this period, two diversion routes will operate.

Irvinestown and Omagh-bound traffic from Enniskillen will be diverted through Lisnarick, Ederney and Lack via the A47 Killadeas Road, B72 Manoo Road, B4 Letterboy Road, B4 Edenamohill Road and B4 Drumlish Road. Motorists should use the B534 Drumadravy Road to reach Irvinestown from this route.

Enniskillen-bound traffic from Omagh will be diverted at Dromore at the Old Creamery Road Roundabout through Trillick, Kilskeery and Ballinamallard via the B46 Galbally Road, B46 Kilskeery Road, B46 Trillick Road and the B46 Enniskillen Road. Motorists should continue to use the A32 Tummery Road to travel to Irvinestown.

The Department has scheduled the works and traffic management to minimise disruption. While local access will be facilitated where possible, some delays are expected. Road users should allow extra time for journeys in the area and comply with all temporary traffic restrictions.

Subject to favourable weather, the scheme is expected to be substantially completed by Friday 16 February 2026. The Department will keep the public informed of any changes.
