Farrans has been awarded a maximum score in a recent Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) audit for its work on the Clore Manor project in the Borough of Barnet.
The Northern Ireland-headquartered firm is currently designing and constructing the six-storey care home on behalf of the Care Concern Group. Located on the Great North Way, the modern facility is set to provide 108 bedrooms and underground parking. The new development replaces a former three-storey care home on the same site.
The high marks in the CCS audit reflect the project's adherence to the Code of Considerate Practice, which evaluates performance across community engagement, environmental protection, and workforce wellbeing. The official CCS report noted:
“When it comes to the community, Clore Manor is all about encouraging polite and respectful language and behaviour around construction sites. It’s dedicated to keeping things safe, avoiding unnecessary disruptions, and reducing nuisances for everyone nearby. It also works closely with locals to make a real, positive difference.
“On the environmental front, the focus is on protecting nature, cutting down negative impacts, and using resources wisely, with the goal of lowering carbon emissions across the value chain. It also partners with the community to improve the local environment in meaningful ways. As for the workforce, the Registered Activity aims to build an inclusive, diverse, and skilled team, while promoting safety and supporting both mental and physical health. Workspaces are kept clean, well-maintained, and free from physical and biological hazards.”
The Care Concern Group, an independent provider operating across England, Scotland, and Wales, saw construction begin on the site in July 2025. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2027.
